My 2021 reading list

My goal for this year is to read at least one new book each month. I’ve always loved reading but I do find myself going through phases of reading everyday and not reading for weeks on end. By setting a goal of reading one new book a month for an entire year, I’m hoping it will get me into a regular habit of reading.

For the most part, I only read fiction. I’ve never really been a huge fan of nonfiction but there are some exceptions. For example, I love reading autobiographies about people I love. One of my favourite autobiographies is Michelle Obama’s one. I read that book quickly and I loved every page of it. I also really like self help books so there’s a few of those on my list too.

I already have a few new books sitting on my bookshelf ready to read but there are lots more on my amazon wishlist. I try not to buy too many in one go otherwise I tend to not read them. On my wishlist are some classic novels I’ve always wanted to read but haven’t yet so I’m really excited to get to read those.

One Of Us Is Lying by Karen M McManus

Where The Crowdads Sing by Delia

A Promised Land by Barack Obama

Normal People by Sally Rooney

I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings by Mary Angelou

The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood

The Bridgerton series by Julia Quinn

Atomic Habits by James Clear

Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert

The Librarian of Auschwitz by Antonio Iturbe

What book is at the top of your reading list this year?

Have you read any of these books before? If so, let me know your thoughts on it.
