I Started My Own Jewellery Business! – Pearl & Lily UK

I’m so excited to write this blog post! It’s been a dream of mine for a while now and I finally did it. I’ve started my very own jewellery business!

Introducing Pearl & Lily UK!

I’ve been thinking of making jewellery for a while now and when lockdown hit I really wanted to do it. But I was terrified of trying something new and failing and then losing all the money I would have to invest in materials and tools. Well, cut to a few weeks ago when I just thought “sod it! I’m just going to do it!” It’s one of the best decisions I’ve made in a long time. I am enjoying every second of it!

I started off with the intention of just making jewellery for myself and family but then I decided I would start selling some. I’ve been practicing and preparing for weeks and then I finally set up a business Instagram account, Facebook page and decided on a business name.

One of the hardest parts about starting my own little business was picking a business name. It was hard because the names I really liked were taken and it was really difficult to think of one. After a long time of going back and forth between names I finally decided on ‘Pearl and Lily’ because I love pearls and lilies are one of my favourite flowers.

I’m so excited to start this jewellery business and make beautiful pieces for everyone. Right now I’m just sticking to mainly beaded necklaces and bracelets and a couple of 24kt gold plated chain necklaces. One of my favourite pieces is ‘The Sara’ necklace (pictured below) named after my little cousin.

I’m so excited to continue on this journey. I’ve only made one sale so far but I’m continuing to work hard and make new pieces to sell to everyone.

It would mean the world to me if you could support my small shop by sharing posts with your friends, purchasing and following my accounts. You can find Pearl & Lily on Instagram, facebook and Etsy (linked below).
